May is the month when my city is absolutely glorious. Everything is green and lush. The weather is delightful and invites you to come outside and play in the sunshine. Memphis is dressed in her finest, and can be compared to no other in May, no doubt about it.
The city is alive with festivals, barbecue contests, graduations and all sorts of fun. I’m happy to be adding my own little piece of joy to the mix this year by hosting my own personal Memphis in May review and giveaway series. I will be featuring 8 amazing local artists who have whipped up some finery for you all to check out. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to introduce you all to some Memphis talent (yes, we have more going on than Elvis!). Get ready, because you are not going to want to miss this! The fun starts May 3rd! Stay tuned!!!
AND...if you leave a comment on this post with something you know or love about Memphis by 8pm CST on May 2nd, you’ll get an extra entry for the giveaways! Show me your Memphis love!

I learned on wikipedia that it has a population of 670,000, making it the largest city in Tennessee. I would absolutely LOVE to go there someday!

This should be a fun one. We don't go to Memphis very often, but we've enjoyed the times we have spent there.

I love Graceland and everything Elvis in Memphis! My mom is a diehard Elvis fan and I grew up to his music!

I've never been to Memphis, but I know they have awesome barbecue! A couple of people around here have tried to duplicate it, and even though it may pale in comparison to the real thing, it is just about the best stuff I've ever eaten. I love, love, love, Memphis-style BBQ!

I don't recall ever having visited Memphis but I know John Grisham grew up near Memphis and the setting of many of his novels is Memphis (Okay, so I don't travel much but I read a lot of books!)

I know Cybil Shepherd has a house in Memphis (at least she did when I was there in 2003).

I've never been to Memphis, unfortunately, but of course, I have to say my favorite thing about it is Elvis – I've been (and still am) a fan since I was very young. Really wish I'd bump into him working at Burger King! sammiejanL40@aol.com

I'm not from Memphis but I've been there and it is lovely.
To me though…Memphis will always = Graceland which = Elvis! Oh yessss! The king lives on in my heart!
