I absolutely KNEW that Darah was a girl from the time I was about 10 weeks pregnant. I had a dream, I saw her, and I just knew from then on out. In fact, I was so certain that when my 20 week ultrasound was just a week or so away, I started to feel extremely nervous. I felt that way because I realized that I had given almost no thought to the idea of having a little boy. I was COMPLETELY unprepared to hear, “It’s a boy!” and I knew that if I did, I would be sad, even if only for a few minutes. I was so mad at myself for allowing that to happen, because the last thing I ever wanted to feel was disappointed.
As you know, I did, indeed, have a little girl in there, so I never had to own up to my lack of preparation for it being a boy. This time around, I really want it to be different. Once again, I think that I’ve got a little girl. My mother is completely certain that it is a boy. I haven’t had that wonderful dream like I did last time. But still, I find myself lingering over thoughts of a girl, and not so much over thoughts of a boy. I know what road this leads to, and I don’t want to repeat my mistake.
So, with the help of science and a product called the Intelligender Gender Prediction Test Kit, I got a sneak peek at whether or not this is a boy or girl bun in my oven! Intelligender is a very cool over-the-counter product you can pick up in most drug stores or online (many people report that it is actually cheaper online!). You can use this product as early at 10 weeks to get a reading on the gender of your baby.
I took the test at 11 weeks pregnant, and followed the instructions very carefully (an important step!). Basically you take a urine specimen and insert a certain amount into a jar with some sort of chemicals in it, swirl it around for 5 seconds, and then let it sit for exactly 5 minutes. If the specimen has an orange tint, you’ve got a girl. If it has a smoky blue-green tent, it’s a boy.
Wanna see the results of my test???
BOY!!!!! My exact words when I saw it were, “WHAT????!!!!???” And yeah, I’ll be completely honest, I was a smidgen bummed out. But I grew more excited as the day wore on. I am SO happy that I took this test at 11 weeks. It is such a gift to have the next 9 weeks to take the idea that I’m having a boy very seriously, so that if the ultrasound tech confirms what Intelligender is predicting, I not only will not be shocked, but I’ll also be so excited and ready, which is exactly what I want to feel. And if it is a girl, after all, it will be super easy for me to switch gears and get back into baby girl mode.
You may be wondering exactly how accurate this test is. Independent studies show a 90% success rate when the Gender Prediction Test directions are followed. I know many people who have used this test and gotten the right results. And, I also know a few who were told one thing and later found out another. Intelligender is meant to be a fun experience; DON’T paint the nursery based on your results!
I’ll say it again; I’m so glad I took this test. Even if my hunch is right and baby #2 is a girl, I’m doing some serious thinking about having a boy now so that I’ll be ready!

My first child, I knew I was having a little boy. The way he rested on me, the cravings I got… all the old wives tails were true in my case. I didn’t officially find out the gender since I wanted it to be a surprise but he definitely made his presence known. Thanks for the giveaway

Don’t know if it was a hunch or wishful thinking, but I thought I was having a girl and it was confirmed at 20 week ultrasound. The wait seemed like forever before I could find out. We’re trying for baby 2 now, so this would be great!

I am planning to get pregnant in the next few months and I do want to find out the gender before the baby’s born! My best friend is going to be pregnant at the same time (we hope, lol) and she wants to wait this time around. It’s going to be really exciting around here in the next year or so!

My first I swore it was a girl…..wrong, it was a boy and I was bummed for a day or 2 because the thought hadn’t crossed my mind about a boy. I KNEW my second was a boy before I even could confirm I was pregnant….I was right. We are hoping to have another one soon and I pray its a girl…

I have two girls! Abbigail i knew she was a girl, at 20 weeks we found on on u/s. With karlee thought maybe she was a boy mainly bc thats what we wanted to have. I took a intelligender and it looked yellow green, wasn’t sure what it was suppose to to for and so we bought another one and it said boy was dark green. But at 16 weeks had a ultrasound and found out she was a girl.. I am now 9 weeks pregnant and was thinking about getting a intelligender next week but wasn’t sure with how it turn out before. We hoping for a boy. Either way we are happy 🙂

My best friend and her husband are trying to get pregnant and she’s the type of person who will want to know the very moment she finds out she’s pregnant! This would be so awesome to give them, maybe give her some peace of mind for at least a few weeks while she waits for the more official result!

I thought I was having a boy the first time but I had a girl. Our next baby though I knew for sure it was a boy (exact opposite pregnancy) and sure enough- a boy!

I had a feeling with my first that it was a boy and he was. With my 2nd I was REALLY hoping for a girl and I think I hoped so much that I got her. With this pregnancy I just know it is a boy. I feel excatly the way I did with our first son. Fingers crossed its a boy!!

This is our first pregnancy but I feel in my heart its a little girl (: it’d be awesome to do intelligender and feel like my hunch is right! Either way we will be happy<3
renee says
I just knew she was a girl–every thought I ever had about the baby was a thought about “her” never “him.” We want to have another since she is going on 5 and a half now–another girl would make me happy! Actually, another healthy baby would make me happy, no matter what gender. I’m sure you are the same way, but at least if I had another girl I could get more use out of those tons of girl clothes I’ve bought!!!

We have two girls, I wanted that so they could be friends. I found out in the 5 months ultrasound. I want another baby, but my husband only wants one more and I really want a son. He had two sons previously so its likely. I have prayed for like two years to have a boy, Im afraid if we dont get pregnant it will be a girl, I would love her, but Im still nervous, and sometimes feel bad for thinking this.

I have 3 boys. I knew without a doubt the first was a boy, thought #2 was a girl and no idea about #3. We found out at 20 weeks with all 3 and now I am pregnant with #4!!! I think it’s another boy, but everyone else says girl. I would LOVE to try this test and see what it is!!!

With my first pregnancy i thought it may be a boy because i had this elaborate dream about being pregnant and the outcome was a boy very sureal and the dream prompted me to take a test because i suddenly remembered i couldnt remember my last period. Turns out i was pregnant so the dream was right with that but my lil one ended up being our lil girl n not a boy when we got our ultrasound. Im pregnant now and this baby i have no clue as to a guess, but my daughter says she is having a brother and is convinced about that even tho she wanted a sister.

When I first found out I was pregnant I was so excited and so anxious to find out the sex (so i could start shopping) I could not wait to know what it was! So I came across the intelligender test but was a little skeptical so I did not purchase it, a few weeks later my mom said she saw this test in the store and bought it just for fun. I took it the next morning and it said we were having a BOY (which my hubby said all along). A weelk later we went for our sono that confirmed it was in fact a boy! Now we are planning our second and hoping for a girl this time : )
