Who Doesn’t Love Rachael Ray?
I credit Rachael Ray with being one of the people who taught me how to cook when I was in my early 20s. And if you are wondering just how badly I needed the help, ask Tim, who still likes to remind me about the meal I made served one evening that, among other things, had ground beef, tater tots, and Cheetos in it. It seemed perfectly reasonable at the time, y’all.
Rachael Ray and her totally awesome 30 minute meals have been an inspiration for me. She has such great ideas for getting food on the table fast…and GOOD food, at that (sorry bout ya Cheetos).
Just last week I made a crazy good, crazy easy salmon recipe of hers. It was fresh, flavorful, and colorful to boot!
Nutrish for Cats
Now it’s time for the kitties of the house to feel the Rachael Ray love. She has created a line of healthy cat food products called Nutrish for Cats and we recently got to introduce our cats to some of the offerings.
Up first, the easy-to-please newest addition to our family, Rose.
Rose was adopted from McKamey Animal Center a little over a month ago. She came from a hoarding situation, and as a result, we immediately noticed her very strong preference for human food over pet food (she likely had to forage around the house for scraps of whatever she could find). It took about a week, but we got her to start eating pet food, and now she’s pretty happy with whatever we put in her bowl.
Rose got the dry Nutrish for Cats to sample, gave it a sniff, and then had a little snack, right on the spot. Two paws up!
And now for the resident ice queen, Hattie.
Hattie is 12 years old, and we’ve had her for 9 of those years. She is an absolutely beautiful cat, and she’s also quite large! We think she might be part Maine Coon, actually. One thing she isn’t, though, is friendly. She’s not aggressive, just wants everyone to leave her alone. And she wants to be the only cat in the house, on account of her HATING cats.
So when Rose came home, well, that went over like a turd in a punch bowl, lemme tell ya.
The cats still don’t eat in the same part of the house, which is the way Hattie wants it. The poor old girl has been having such a rough month, what with the presence of that disgustingly adorable furball, so I thought she might want to try the wet Nutrish for Cats as a special treat.
OMG, y’all. SHE PURRED WHILE SHE ATE! She doesn’t purr, as a general rule, and she dang sure isn’t going to purr while eating…how undignified would that be?! But alas, she did just that, and she didn’t even look up from the plate once until it was completely licked clean. So, um, yeah…gonna call that one a WIN!

I currently have three cats – two black 10-year old sisters (Vicki and Vanna) who are rescues, and a now one-year old male that we found around the corner last May while walking the dog just sitting in the middle of the sidewalk. Vet said he wouldn’t have lasted another night – so $500.00 later, Sammy is the new neutered, fat, healthy happy male!

I have inherited my boyfriend’s cats. They are brothers & around 8 years old. My boyfriend recently took a job in another town, so they stay with me & he comes to visit us on the weekends. Their names are Thing 1 & Thing 2 – which is hysterical, but they don’t always answer to their names! They have become my little cuddle bugs & they keep my company while my boyfriend is away.

Tiger was just a few weeks old when we found him abandoned in the bushes. My husband told me we could NOT keep him, but after a bath and snack, Tiger fell asleep on hubby’s chest. That was just over a year ago. Tiger’s favorite spot is still my husband’s lap.

I have two cats. Pumpkin is a long haired tortie, disgustingly friendly. She love anyone who has a hand available for petting. Sheeba is much mor selective. She wants to get to know you very well before you are allowed to do any petting.
I have Nala-she is approx.10 years old. We got her about 7 years ago on Craigslist. Like Hattie, she despises cats. I would love to add another cat, but am scared of how she would react. She can be sweet, but she has a bit of evil kitty in her. She will randomly attack only me-my arm, my calf, my feet. Good thing I love her so much;)

I found my cat Huey 3.5 years ago while driving to my parents. The poor guy was partially buried in the snow. He’s a character and brings a lot of joy to my family.

We have 2 kitty cats — an orange Tabby named Milo and a black & white American Shorthair named Karma. Milo showed up on our doorstep about 5 years ago and Karma belonged to one of my son’s friends who couldn’t take her with him when he moved. So we technically adopted one and one adopted us!
i have 3 rescue kittites! Gizzy was here first and is 6 years! Lucy was next and she is a fiesty 3 year old! Simba is the crazy people cat! Loves snuggling and loving! He is 6 as well!
My cat is an affectionate, protective cat. She is 7 years old and still plays around like a kitten.
Our main kitty is Nienna. She is 9 this year and she is a tabby. While she enjoys the company of other kitties just fine, she prefers the human touch. She nibbles on your arm if you stop petting her and she isn’t ready for you to stop. She loves food! She is a bit hefty, but not overly so.
We also have (had) a tortie, Truffle. She is 5. She actually got outside and ran away for a few weeks. She finally came home for one evening and then got out again the following day and unfortunately we have not seen her since. We miss her terribly, as does her big sister Nienna. We are hoping she finds her way home again.

I have two cats. One is Rusty which is a male. He has tiger stripes. He runs the house and is very energetic. My other cat is a female. Her name is Peeper and she is a lazy fat cat. She is FIV positive and pretty much likes to keep to herself. I like to take them out to the yard when I can but my bf thinks they will run away one day..ah they need some fresh air and never bolt off.
My cats name is Marie. She looks like the cat from the movie Aristocrats. She’s a few months old, and loves pouncing all over the house! She wears a pink collar, with a pink bow attached. She loves to jump on top of you and try to fight with you, that’s how she likes to play.
We have a quiet tuxedo cat named Thomas (after the train!) He is the pickiest kitty I’ve ever come across. Won’t eat tuna, liver, leftover fat from steaks, chicken… He does, however, beg for raw eggs whenever he hears me crack one open and steals my toddler’s graham crackers when she’s not looking. Weirdo!
I seriously have the fattest cats in the world. They play like crazy but you would think they couldn’t stand up even! Yet they don’t over eat.

We found a tiny kitten several weeks ago and she has melted mine and my kids hearts.
My cat’s name is Milley. One day I was taking the trash out and there she was. She was extremely friendly and I could tell she had been somebody’s cat before. I posted adds on the lost pet sites and nobody claimed her so I kept her. I am so glad I did.

We’ve had our cat since our daughter was 8 months old and he was 4 months old, they have grown up together and will both be six soon.
We have two cats, a male orange and white cat named Snowy and a female Maine Coon named Fergie. Snowy is a total people person and loves other animals. He’s older and pretty lazy except when it comes to his food! We have to keep him in a different room during feedtime otherwise he’ll eat his portion of food and Fergie’s portion too! Fergie, on the other hand is super sweet, but reserved and a bit picky about who she likes. She doesn’t like people she doesn’t know or most other animals (she likes our other cat because he’s been around since her kitten days).

One cold fall day 6 years ago we found a emaciated wounded kitten and took her in. This year we got a stray who was connected to a leg hold trap two weeks after his amputation at the shelter and we love them so much and they are both the sweetest cats ever.

We have two cats in our household — a yellow shorthair that is an indoor cat (she was here first). — and a black, long hair cat that is our barn/outdoor cat.
We have two cats, both female, and we think they’re sisters. One is a total princess, only drinks flowing water, is obsessed with ice cubes, and loves to sleep. The other one loves attention more than life itself. She’s constantly asking to be pet, and in the most adorable ways possible. The cutest thing is when I catch them cuddling together.
We got our kitty from a local shelter he is a tiger male. He is my baby, I actually named him after a cat I had when I was young, his name is Tigger.
I would love to win for my 4 indoor cats. My cats are my best buds. They are all rescues and are very spoiled! Bubba is my largest weighing a hefty 21 lbs. He is a solid black domestic short hair. He was rescued from a sewer pipe by me when he was just a small kitten. Little is a sweet , shy tabby who was rescued from my best friend’s nasty neighbor’s garage. Chester is a brown tabby that I personally rescued off of a busy median. He was just sitting in the grass on the side of 2 busy highways. It took me about 5 minutes , but I was able to grab him , bring him home and clean him up. He’s never been happier now. And finally, my tuxedo dah-lin’, Ryder. She is a handful! She’s very snobby, and overbearing. She has a personality for days and always gets what she wants. My cats love to eat and sleep all day long!

My daughter’s cat is named Cheeto. He is, of course, orange, and likes dry food and his weekly treat of tuna. He is tolerant of my children and fairly clean, so he’s okay in my book. He’s also a polydactyl, with 6 toes on each of his front paws.
I do cat rescue mostly of ferals and black cats, as they do not adopted as much. I often 10-12 cats for a short time and always have my 6 feline companions. I got a sample of the dry Nutrish and it was an amazing hit even for my picky eater who usually only eats wet food. Would love to win this for the family.

We have 2 cats here at the farm. Our boy Silver we adopted from the shelter ( his twin brother Spencer died a few years back of cancer..miss him) ..hes a wonderful cat that gets along with our new pup, which is a blessing! We also have another cat Panther.. she lives up to her name. Shes not friendly at all and hates everyone except for my hunny..i tried all kinds of things (watched the cat whisperer.) no getting through to her. but we have a nice little fur family here non the less. Yes i agree your cats are beauties.

I have a 15 yr old black cat named Elvis (male) and a 9 yr old cat named Stevie (female). I got Stevie as a kitten and Elvis has always taken care of her as if he were her mother! He still can be found cleaning her at times!
