Any time I ask Tim what he would like for whatever gift giving occasion is on the horizon (Father’s Day, birthday, Christmas), he responds with a blank stare, and then a shrug. Seriously, people, he NEVER has a suggestion for me. And it isn’t because he’s being coy and wants me to read his mind. He just doesn’t feel as though he needs any stuff!

I personally believe that the very best kinds of unique gifts are not material objects, but experiences, as these give the recipient memories to hold on to for life. My best friend has such fond memories, for example, of the time she got to spend with her grandparents out in Arizona every summer as a child.
