Update on Our Financial Journey: Part 2 (YNAB Review)

Hello friends!

Today I’m excited to give you the second installment of our financial journey that we’ve been taking, using the budgeting software You Need a Budget (YNAB). If you missed out on part 1, you can check out our YNAB review (there’s a video so you can see and hear me!).

Since that time, a lot of things have happened for us, and you’ll just have to watch this quick video to get the scoop(And sorry that I said it was April in the video…I guess my brain is a few days ahead of schedule)!

Did YNAB, itself, make this happen? Of course not! WE made it happen. But YNAB definitely gave us the tools to set goals and realize our potential to reduce debt and to enhance our quality of life. YNAB rocks, folks!

You Need a Budget: An Honest Talk About Finances

Today I want to just have a chat with you about money. Friend to friend. I want to tell you a little bit about how Tim and I have approached finances for the past 8 years, why our approach needed to change, and how we finally got ourselves on a path that we know is going to be a game-changer for us. We really needed a budget. Now we have one, but it is so much more. It’s a plan. It’s exciting, it’s achievable, it’s liberating.

You need a budget, too. Hopefully you already have one, but the vast majority of households don’t. If you are one of those households, I want to tell you that YNAB is an amazing solution that our family is finding to be very helpful. If I didn’t feel so strongly about the benefits of using this software, I wouldn’t be having this conversation with you. Promise.
