I am sharing my own personal experience with naturally getting rid of cellulite, but I am not offering medical advice of any sort. Please consult your physician should you have any medical questions or concerns. Essential oils have not been tested by the FDA. Affiliate links included. I love promoting what rocks my world!
I’ve had quite a few follow-up questions from readers hit my inbox after publishing about essential oils for weight loss and how I use them to get ready for swimsuit season. Many folks asked me about how to deal with stubborn cellulite that seems to hang on for dear life, even in the midst of following a healthy diet and giving our bodies the exercise they need.
Good news, frustrated friends: I have some tips to offer! You can, in fact, naturally get rid of cellulite, but the reason that so many people don’t have success doing so is because they are going about it the wrong way, and because they are unwilling to be patient. If you want to get rid of cellulite quickly you are going to need to rethink your definition of quick. I’m just gonna put that out there first thing. Cellulite is really tough to get rid of and requires time and consistency with your approach. If you are willing to be consistent with your essential oils for cellulite reduction, then you will see that you can, in fact, get rid of your cellulite. But if you try these suggestion for a week and then quit, expect to see pretty much no results.
Ok, so here’s the thing about fat cells: they serve as a toxic waste dump for the liver when the liver is having trouble processing all the toxins that come its way. Poor diet and environment can easily overwhelm the liver, and the fat cells are happy to hang on to all that excess junk. So one important thing most people don’t realize is that if you want to attack the fat cells, you need to attack the toxins. Essential oils LOVE to gobble up toxins, and that makes them a secret weapon in the fight against excess fat.
I approach getting rid of cellulite naturally from the inside as well as the outside. Once a day I put 2 drops of Slique Essence into my water and drink it. This gets those great essential oils into my body to do the dirty work I need them to do on the inside. The essential oils in this blend include grapefruit, tangerine, spearmint, lemon and ocotea. These are some of the best essential oils for cellulite. Think of them each as hungry little oils who whose favorite food is the toxins sitting in the fat cells you want to eliminate!
Additionally, I use Cel-Lite Magic, a massage oil put out by Young Living, to attack cellulite from the outside (want a non-MLM alternative? I get it! This one has great reviews). I find this oil, over time, to help with the appearance of cellulite from the outside, which is what we are all looking to improve. But again, don’t forget about all those fat cells you can’t see! I personally use this on the back of my thighs and on my rear, as these are the two places where my cellulite is the most obvious. I’ve heard from other women that they enjoy using it on their stretch marks, as well. I recommend applying this product just before you go work out, and if you aren’t hitting the gym, just put it on at the start of your day so that as you move around and exercise naturally, the oils are in place to fight hard for you and to help amplify any exercise you might be doing that day to also encourage excess fat to take a hike.
Drinking a lot of water is also critical any time you are trying to help your body flush out toxins. The essential oils will be working hard to break down those fat cells by way of breaking down toxins, but you need to provide plenty of water to help the trash get swept out of the body and not just reabsorbed. For bonus points, incorporate dry brushing into your daily routine to help your lymphatic system perform at an optimal level. If you are ready to fight your cellulite, I strongly recommend Slique Essence and Cel-Lite as part of your daily regimen. It is so important to be consistent and to plan on doing this for at least a month, if not more. Cellulite wins so many battles because it takes an entire war and not just one battle to defeat it. But you absolutely, positively can! Make use of the amazing power of essential oils as a key weapon, friends.
