As we get ready for our new baby’s arrival, we have decided to part ways with our old stroller and get one that will accommodate both a toddler and an infant (one of those sit ‘n stand types). So we recently got the old stroller out of storage and got it ready to sell. It didn’t look BAD, but it certainly looked like it had been used by a baby before, with spit up stains found here and there, dirt on the tires from all our neighborhood strolls, and of course, dust from being away in storage for a while. It also smelled like it had been in storage; just not very fresh!
How to Clean a Stroller
But what do you use to properly clean a stroller? Especially when you are pregnant and don’t need to be around harsh chemicals. Also, keep in mind that a baby will be put back into the stroller, and chewing on everything in sight, so you don’t want any harsh chemicals around.
Enter Buggy Love, a line of products that is 100% natural line of products designed to safely and effectively keep your stroller clean and fresh! We received the organic stroller cleaning kit which comes with the following products:
- Fresh Love: 8 oz. of exotic, delicious, pure, organic rosehip scented solution for all over re-freshening
- Polish Love: 8 oz. of crisp, organic tangerine scented solution for cleaning dirt and grime from stroller frames and wheels.
- Fabric Love: See ya’ milk and formula stains! 4 oz. of refreshing, organic clementine scented solution for universal use on stroller surfaces and fabrics
- Wheel Love: 1 oz. of the first-ever, all natural, stroller wheel lube that eliminates squeaks and squeals.
- Scrub Love: Wheel scrub brush withwhite tampico bristles
- Micro Love: Re-claimed microfiber cloth
- Bag O’Love: – Re-usable, cotton, drawstring to-go bag
This kit is really amazing! And it is SO beautifully packaged. It would make an absolutely stunning baby shower gift, for sure. In addition to looking so snazzy, it also performs really well! Tim got the kit out and got to work polishing up our old stroller for an upcoming consignment sale. Here you can see a picture of some unidentified stains on some of the stroller fabric both before and after being treated with that fabulous Fabric Love.
True story: when we took the stroller in for drop off at the consignment sale, two of the workers both came up to us and stated that our stroller looked absolutely fantastic. The owner of the sale strongly encouraged us to raise the price by $10 because the stroller looked better than pretty much anything else at the sale, and virtually new. I credit Tim’s hard work, and of course, Buggy Love, for that response! And yeah, we did raise the price by $10! Woo hoo!
Buy it!: Buggy Love is available for purchase AND to be added to your registry at Buy Buy Baby! The kit retails for $50, and as we have seen, can really help not only with your own stroller maintenance, but also with resale value of your stroller! You can snag it on Amazon right now for $29! Hurry!
Win it!: One super lucky Stuff Parents Need reader is going to win a Buggy Love organic stroller cleaning kit!

My current approach is to just KEEP it clean from the start! LOL But when that fails, I just use warm water (and a little soap). And hope for the best!

I use dish soap, water and a rag for quick clean ups and hose it down and sun dry for major cleaning.
Would LOVE to win this. Spring is just around the corner & needs some elbow grease.
We try to be careful when out little one is in the stroller but it is so hard! We usually end up using baby wipes to try and get it back to a clean condition.
I just bought a “new to me” stroller and it could use a good cleaning!
I use wipe now!
I got an old Bugaboo off of Craigslist, replaced a few parts and cleaned it with a knock-off “Magic Eraser” and dish washing detergent. It looks pretty good!

Cleaning my stroller is a job that I forget to do until I bring it out to use it. I use the product that I always have with me to clean my stroller and that is baby wipes.
I am embarressed to admit i have not cleaned our stroller….nor even want to try to attempt as afraid I won’t be able to put it back together. Yikes.
We have a Bugaboo- second hand. The hardest part about cleaning it is the foam! I usually clean it a couple times a year.. dishwasher detergent & vinegar for the chasis. We have a silicone spray for the squeeks & I launder the fabrics in Dreft. This buggy cleaner sounds great!

We use Rockin Green paste on the really bad spots, otherwise just water or a little dish soap and water are the only regulars.
I haven’t thought a whole lot about cleaning the stroller yet. It hasn’t gotten too much use yet. I think it may be a chore for my husband when the time comes to clean it.
i just use lysol wipes
I clean my stoller fabric with oxiclean, and spray the rest with the house. My only complaint is the occasional water stains from using the oxiclean!
I tend to just hope nobody notices, but I did clean my good stroller really well before daughter #2 was born, So I should probably do that again for Baby #3
I use Lysol Disinfect Wipes and wipe down the stroller…

I damaged my fabric with the concoction I used cleaning my stroller
We used water to clean my daughter’s stroller–I don’t know what we’ll use on the new baby’s stroller when it gets here in November 🙂 <—did ya catch that, Tiffany? 🙂
So Far I’ve only used water.
Don’t have a stroller yet, I’m expecting. It’d be great to win this so I can try it!
I used Dreft,water and sponge!
My current approach to keeping the stroller clean is baby wipes – but they’re not that effective. I’d love to win this!
I use baby wipes for quick cleaning! 🙂
I clean my daughter stroller about once a month with baby wipes or a wash rage. I should clean it more since we use the stroller about 4 or 5 times a week.
I haven’t cleaned my stroller but now I feel like I totally should
havent had to clean it yet, baby dosent use it alot
I usually wash it wipes as it gets dirty. Plus I’ll wash it every so often by taking it all apart and washing it all in the washing machine.
Is it terrible to just use wet wipes? Thanks for a chance to win!
Totally terrible.
I have a single jogging stroller on loan from my SIL, it is about 9 years old and had been stored in her garage for a long time…I sprayed it off with a garden hose and left it to dry in the sun, hoping that would kill anything bad. It would be nice to have something good to spray on it though! I want to sell my old graco single stroller and the seat definitely needs freshening up. I love my new sit n stand. I really felt chained to the house after Quinn was born until I got it to transport both kids.
I hope nobody notices how dirty it is 🙂
i use ammonia
I just use water and vineger
I jsut used dish soap and wash rags with water.
I don’t really use much to clean the stroller. Just spray with pressurized water. Then a light bleach solution followed by the water again.
Umm…I hate to say this but we don’t really have an approach. We sort of do a spot clean when necessary! These would be lovely products to have for a more thorough cleaning!
I use just normal baby wipes, seems to do the trick.
I use to try and keep it clean now I act like its not there!!
I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to go about cleaning our little man’s stroller for awhile now… and now you’ve solved it! I think Buggy Love is my new strategy 🙂

no strategy yet… still waiting on arrival of baby #1 in may.
When I received a VERY dirty stroller from another mom, I scrubbed it with some Charlies Soap and then hosed it down. Love Charlies Soap.
