Are you looking for something out of the ordinary to do this summer with your kids? What if you could offer them the unique opportunity to watch the world-famous Cirque de Soleil in your own city (or one that is within striking distance)? If you aren’t familiar with this absolutely AMAZING group, just take a little peak at one of their performances:
OVO is currently on tour, and my family absolutely cannot wait to put our provided tickets to use here in Chattanooga in July (show dates for Chattanooga are from July 20-24th, with 7 total performances!). From the website,
“OVO is a headlong rush into a colourful ecosystem teeming with life, where insects work, eat, crawl, flutter, play, fight and look for love in a non-stop riot of energy and movement. The insects’ home is a world of biodiversity and beauty filled with noisy action and moments of quiet emotion.
When a mysterious egg appears in their midst, the insects are awestruck and intensely curious about this iconic object that represents the enigma and cycles of their lives.
It’s love at first sight when a gawky, quirky insect arrives in this bustling community and a fabulous ladybug catches his eye – and the feeling is mutual.
OVO is overflowing with contrasts. The hidden, secret world at our feet is revealed as tender and torrid, noisy and quiet, peaceful and chaotic. And as the sun rises on a bright new day the vibrant cycle of insect life begins anew.”
This is going to be a great show, friends! And I’m so excited for my home city, because it is our very first time ever hosting Cirque du Soleil. If you are a local reader, definitely take a look at the schedule and reserve your seats for your family. And if you are located elsewhere, don’t fret! There are 19 more cities scheduled on the tour, so the odds are good that they are coming to your area! Click here to learn more and find your nearest performance.
