New Year, New You! Back to Basics with eMeals

January 2, 2014 · by Tiffany Merritt · Leave a Comment

I’ve certainly got some goals this year to drop a bit of weight and to get more active. How about you?

eMeals, the meal planning service that I have been using for 2 years now, is really going to be helpful with this effort, as they have Healthy Meal Plans to Match your Active Lifestyle! I’m switching my family back to the Paleo plan, which seems to work well for our family. Time to drop lots of those carbs and seriously up my veggie intake. But I don’t have to scour the internet daily for lots of new recipes. eMeals is taking care of me!

If you need help with meal planning, either because you want to change your diet or because you just want a little less stress in your life, then eMeals is such a great way to go. I’ve been so pleased as a member. And I’m pleased to announce that I have a coupon for you, too! Take 15% Off Your Order at eMeals.com with Bonus Comfort Foods Brochure! Use code Dinner15.

Let eMeals help you get back to basics in 2014. I find it to be worth so much more than the cost because it helps me save a TON of time, save money, and eat healthfully.

AND…if you are looking for a little Pinterest inspiration, I’m so thrilled to report that I’m part of the eMeals Foodie board, which is a fantastic group board on with delicious meal ideas! Such a great source of inspiration, and it can keep you from having to search and search and search and search for new ideas. I hope you’ll follow us!

Early Access to the Best Sale for One of My Favorite Services

November 15, 2013 · by Tiffany Merritt · Leave a Comment

I am an eMeals affiliate and satisfied customer. I hope you enjoy this fantastic eMeals coupon!
Have you heard of eMeals? This is a menu subscription service, and I have been a customer of theirs since just before Layah was born last year. I joined because I knew that it would be a big stress reliever to have someone else take care of picking out recipes and planning a grocery list for me. And eMeals does just that! I simply have to print off my recipes and my shopping list and head to the store. Things are categorized on the list by section of the store to make shopping even easier.

eMeals Costs

Basically, it is AWESOME and 100% worth the cost. Speaking of which, let me break it down for you. Each plan provides 7 complete meals each week, delivered straight to your inbox.
12 month subscription: $58
6 month subscription: $35
3 month subscription: $21
You can also add a lunch plan to any of these subscriptions for just $4 each month. I’ve done the lunch menu before and those options are most often lunchbox friendly, which is really handy!

Types of Plans

Not sure if eMeals knows how to plan meals for your family? I’m going to bet that they can, and that’s because they offer a huge variety of plan types!
  • Clean Eating (our current plan. Totally adore it!)
  • Paleo (tried it, loved it!)
  • Low Fat
  • Low Carb
  • Natural & Organic
  • Portion Control
  • Gluten-Free
  • Classic (tried it…good for a family who eats the Standard American Diet)
  • Vegetarian
That’s not even the complete list of options, friends! Even in the past year, eMeals has really expanded and enhanced its offerings, and that’s yet another reason why I’m not planning on cancelling my subscription anytime soon.

The Big Sale

Ok, so once a year eMeals has its biggest sale and its largest discount offer. It happens on Cyber Monday, and it is for 30% off the subscription price.
BUT…since I’m an affiliate of eMeals, I have been granted early access to this promotion. That means that you, my readers, can get the eMeals discount of 30% off RIGHT NOW!!! Use code CYBER at checkout, and you are all set!

Simplify your busy life with eMeals

Let me know which subscription you buy. And if you are having a hard time deciding, don’t worry! eMeals gives you the opportunity to switch up your subscription. I’m actually thinking about switching over to the slow cooker clean eating plan, myself, for the winter months!

Emeals Meal Planning Service Review

June 27, 2010 · by Tiffany Merritt · 73 Comments

I’ve talked before on this blog about what a challenge it is to cook at home every day. We are on a fairly tight budget, so eating out often isn’t really an option. But that doesn’t mean that we magically have time to plan our meals out every week and prepare them nightly while also trying to feed Darah and start her nighttime routine. Even though I try to make a menu for the week, I often will leave a crucial ingredient off of the grocery list, which throws everything into a downward spiral and Tim heads out the door to pick up takeout or we just turn to our boxes of cereal. I’ve also run into the problem of planning a pretty decent menu, and getting to the store only to realize that some of my key ingredients are either unavailable or ridiculously expensive (our Kroger is seriously lacking in the produce and cheese departments, as well as the specialty meats).

I wanted to tell you about a really cool online meal planning service that helps remedy every problem but the actual food preparation (sorry, the computer can’t do the cooking for you!). emeals is a menu planning service that plans a week’s worth of dinners for your family. And get this; the meals are based off of what is on sale at your local grocery store, which will save you a nice little bundle each week! Woo hoo!

Just log into emeals, print your recipes and your shopping list. You don’t have to do any planning at all! It even tells you what the price of the items you are buying should be. I really love that feature. I know that if you can plan a menu based on what is on sale at the store that week, you are money ahead. But I have NO TIME to sit down with the flyer and come up with a list of dishes that use all the bargains! emeals does that for you. Brilliant.

I had the opportunity to try out E-Mealz for a month. I loved it, though I would like to see some of the meal options be just a bit healthier. You can check out a sample menu here to get a sense for if E-Mealz offers the types of food your family likes to eat. They actually offer some low-fat menus, so those may have been a better fit for us. I would also suggest that E-Mealz send email reminders to subscribers when the new grocery list is available. With all the chaos in my home, I forgot to check in with E-Mealz twice during the month, which bummed me out. Other than that, though, I think this is an amazing service and I would highly recommend it for folks who need to save money by eating at home, but who are also short on time.

Buy It!:
E-MEALZ Easy Meals for Busy and Frugal Families costs as little as $1.25/week. Imagine how much time and money you will save…$1.25/week is a total steal. Also, if you use the code SAVEMONEY at checkout, you can save an additional 10% off your first purchase of a meal plan!

Win It!: One lucky Stuff Parents Need reader will win a three month subscription to emeals. Get ready to get some of your time back! Woo hoo! The contest will run until July 7th at 7:59pm CST when a winner will be selected using Random.org. The winner will be emailed and will have 48 hours to respond before the prize is forfeited and a new winner is selected. Open to residents of the United States.

Mandatory Entry: Tell me which emeals plan you would select if you win!
