I’m Trying Out the Hottest Family Games for Family Game Night!

November 16, 2014 · by Tiffany Merritt · 1 Comment

Products provided for review purposes. All thoughts and opinions are my own, as always.

This week I’ve got an exciting shipment headed my way so that my family can test out some of the hottest new family games and let you know which one is our absolute favorite.

I know, I know…tough job I have! 😉 Somebody’s got to pinpoint the most awesome of the awesome games, though. Allow me, friends! Here’s what my family is going to be testing out. I’d love to hear if you have any of these games already, or if you see one that you think is going to win out.

1. Family Challenge

spin master game 5

I’m intrigued by this game because it seems to have a bunch of little games tied in (vision, agility, smarts and pure luck). It sounds like something that will create a lot of laughs and where a lot of different people can shine.

2. Boom Boom Balloon

spin master game 1

Ok, honestly? I’m super nervous about this game. People take turns poking this balloon-like object and eventually it is going to pop. This is an element of surprise that is probably going to make my kids squeal and make me a nervous wreck!

3. Hedbanz Act Up

spin master game 4

This one is going to be a challenge for the younger crowd, since you need to be able to read. But you can play with a minimum of 2 players, so this might be one that Tim and I try out together. Maybe it would be a fun game with another couple? Or maybe it would be REALLY awkward….we’ll see!

4. Shark Mania

spin master game 3

I’m guessing this one is going to be the favorite of the girls. Players are on the hunt for treasure, but so is the shark, and you have to be quick or he’ll push you out of the game! Very cute concept; can’t wait to see it in action!

5. Moustache Smash

spin master game 2

This game reminds me a bit of Crazy 8’s in that you are looking for the card that matches in shape or color to the moustache that you have. Your moustache also doubles as a slapper for you to slap down and “claim” the card in the deck as your own.  I think this one is going to be really fun, too!

Please let me know if you already own one of these games! I’ll be back soon with a full report on which game came out on top!
